Three hats to get you through the winter

It's already ridiculously cold and hasn't your granny ever told you that you lose 150% of your body heat through the top of your head? You better read the rest of this post, for your granny's sake...

The Practical One:  It's the one that both you and a small child could wear simultaneously, it's the one with a fluffy bobble, it's the one you can basically throw on with any daytime outfit and it will definitely go with your winter coat. Most importantly it's the one that keeps you warm.
Key Features: generally a thick knit, cable knit patterns, cute but subtle decorations,
usually a one colour hat and a complimentary colour to your winter coat.

The Stand Out: Some days you just want the world to turn around, take notice of you and think your extremely stylish and talented and beautiful... That's pretty much how the stand out hat should make you feel. I use hats most of the time to cover up a dodgy hair day and its nice to wear a hat that doesn't feel like a compromise but a key feature of your outfit. I like to wear this dramatically, think giant black over sized jumper, black tights and this highlighter yellow hat.
Key Features: It should be something that stands out (obviously) be it in texture, colour, pattern or shape. Take something you love and then cover a hat in it.
Eg, Leopard print, sequins, neon,a combination of all three...

The Flattering one: Hats go on your head. Hair is also on your head. Stop me if I'm going too fast, but basically I believe that you definitely need at least one hat that just looks lovely with your hair colour. A lot of us go to a massive effort to get our hair looking healthy, choosing just the right colour to dye it etc,.. We might as well pop something on our heads that congratulates us on a good dye job.

Recommendations:
Blondes- Pastel Colours, Black, Grey, Red. Possibly avoid  orange reds and reddish purples like burgundy yet this all depends on your own skin tone.

Brunettes- Think Autumnal, Orangey reds, deep greens, Blues from turquoise to navy are amazing. Maybe avoid Browns and blacks which may appear dull mixed with your hair.

Redheads- Mossy and olive greens, blues, different shades of pink and red depending on your shade, generally I'd recommend colours with cool undertones(blue),
While avoiding warm undertones(red).
